Overview

This privacy policy explains how Izone Ltd ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use TaxTraveller — our tool for tracking the days you spend in each country, so you can stay ahead of tax residency thresholds.

TaxTraveller is built and operated by Izone Ltd, a company registered in Ireland. As an Irish company, we process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.

02

Information We Collect

TaxTraveller is deliberately narrow in scope — it exists to log trips and tally days, not to build a profile of you. We collect:

Contact detailsName and email, for account setup and support
Trip recordsCountries visited, dates and day counts you log
Location dataOnly if location assist is enabled — see below

We don't use cookies, trackers, or third-party analytics on the TaxTraveller website or in the app.

03

Location Data

By default, TaxTraveller works entirely from manual entry: you tell us where you were and for how long, on your own schedule. Nothing about your location is collected unless you add it yourself.

Some users prefer a faster way to log a trip. If you turn on location assist, TaxTraveller can read your device's current location and create a country stay record, it creates these records at midnight and will read the location in the background.

Manually

Location is entered by you and a record is created and stored — never in the background.

Automatically using Location Assist

At midnight, in the background, it creates a country location record and stores it in your app.

You can turn location assist off at any time in your device settings or within the app. Doing so has no effect on manual logging — it simply removes the shortcut.

04

Why We Need It

We only ask for what the service itself needs to function:

Accurate tallyingA running record of days per country, per calendar year
At-a-glance standingSo you can check progress toward residency thresholds
Multi-year historyPreserved for tests that span more than one year
SupportTo correspond with you about your account
